Grasse and Cannes
This week from Tuesday 2nd May – Thursday 4th May I had the pleasure of working in Grasse, France for a few days.
I really enjoyed my time there. It was my first time in France and I would definitely like to go again.
My colleague and I flew out there to stay with our director who owns a property in Grasse. Her property manager picked us up from the airport and drove us to the house.
As soon as we arrived we decided to have lunch in Gourdon. It is a small village with lovely views of the mountains. They have little shops where you can buy jewellery, handbags and candles and soap in the shape of a variety of fruits.
Throughout our stay we worked in the office attached to the house. On top of that we had the company of two gorgeous Labradors during our stay.
On Wednesday night, we had dinner in Cannes. We walked through the old town which was very French and had streets full of restraurants.
The food was delicious. As a starter I had salmon with olive oil.
For my main meal I had lamb with mashed potato which was very tasty.
Cannes is a very beautiful place to visit, with popular department stores, the harbour and the view of the sea.
Here I am with a big smile outside the Armani Caffe.
The Cinema in Cannes is stunning to look at. It has painted walls based on film-related themes.
I had a great time and would definitely recommend a trip to Cannes. This opportunity has given me the chance to breakaway from everyday life and explore a new place.
